Today’s focus is on handling software delays. It has been reported that Apple users may have to wait longer for Apple Intelligence to be included in iOS 18 this fall. Additionally, Samsung’s Android 15 beta release may be delayed beyond the initial expectations.
According to SamMobile, Samsung had originally planned to launch One UI 7 today. However, the release has been postponed due to the recent release of One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy S24 series.
One UI 6.1.1 was first introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 earlier this month. The update primarily focuses on adding new AI features to Samsung’s foldable phones and includes minor enhancements for productivity and media consumption on Galaxy devices.
There is no official information on the duration of the One UI 7 beta delay.
Once One UI 7 is released to beta testers or the public, it is expected to bring significant changes. One anticipated change is a redesign of the camera user interface (UI), potentially moving main controls to the bottom of the screen for easier access.
Furthermore, Samsung is planning to introduce a pill-shaped feature for system apps on the home screen, similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, positioned on the left side of the notification area.
One UI 7 will bring more rounded design elements, smoother animations, and a two-page notification panel with separate dropdowns for notifications and quick settings.
One UI 7 is designed to complement the upcoming Android 15 release, which is expected to finish beta testing soon and offer new features like improved PDF experience, satellite connectivity, and design changes.
