Chinese projector maker Xgimi displayed two new projectors at CES 2024. The Horizon Max, an IMAX Enhanced certified projector, featuring a precision gimbal system for auto keystoning and smart screen adaptation tech, and the Aladdin, a 3-in-one smart home ceiling lamp, speaker, and projector. The Horizon Max took center stage at the company’s busy CES 2024 booth.
Xgimi Horizon Max
The Horizon Max is set to follow the successful Horizon Ultra 4K projector. It will be the world’s first long-throw projector to feature IMAX Enhanced certification. This means that the Horizon Max meets IMAX’s standards for resolution, color, contrast, brightness, and DTS:X immersive sound.
The Horizon Max features a motorized gimbal system known as ISA 5.0 which can scan the space and adjust to the room and the wall or screen being used. It will also adjust its settings, optimizing them for specific activities and surfaces while remembering them.
Not only does the Horizon Max offer precision and adaptability, but it also boasts a 35% increase in brightness from the Horizon Ultra. It features exclusive Dual Light 2.0 technology, with commercial theater projector features for color reproduction and contrast. The Max is slated for a late 2024 release.
It’s a lamp, it’s a projector, it’s Aladdin
The Xgimi Aladdin is a smart ceiling lamp, high-end projector, and connected speakers all in one. The Aladdin is perfect for optimized living space and is set to release in Japan this summer.
The Aladdin is designed to solve common projector issues such as placement challenges and screen blockages. It is set to feature Wi-Fi capability, Bluetooth, and Harman Kardon 360-degree sound.
And one more thing…
Xgimi has announced it will be using new chips from Taiwan’s MediaTek in all of its premium projectors. Plus, the company has partnered with Google TV and plans to launch a range of new products throughout the year.
