In recent seasons, one of the standout features of Fortnite has been Shadow Briefings. This new system, an upgrade from the old Bounty Board quests, adds an extra layer of objectives to each game of Fortnite. By visiting one of the Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations, players can take on additional challenges and earn rewarding prizes.
While some Shadow Briefing quests are straightforward, such as the armory quests that offer XP as a reward, others can be more beneficial for obtaining Fortnite weapons. Certain Shadow Briefing locations can spawn Supply Drops and treasure maps, providing guaranteed high-level loot. It’s worth landing at these spots to take advantage of these rewards.
Looking for the Fortnite Shadow Briefing locations? While they don’t have a 100% spawn rate, they are relatively easy to find in each game.
Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations
Just like how not every spawn spot has a chest in Fortnite, Shadow Briefings work the same way. Each location offers a chance to spawn a Shadow Briefing, but they are not guaranteed. Nevertheless, most spawn locations should have terminals that house these challenges. Here are all the spots where they can potentially spawn.
If you are on the hunt for a specific Shadow Briefing task, make sure to check the locations where they spawn. It may take trying more than one spot before finding an activated terminal. Additionally, keep an eye out for potential new locations added in future Fortnite updates.
Types of Shadow Briefing Locations
While you now won’t find vehicle terminals in Chapter 5 Season 4, there are three different types of Shadow Briefing terminals. Each type offers a different quest to complete:
- Armory – Tasking you with dealing damage using a specific weapon
- Plunder – Providing treasure map spawns for digging up rare chests
- Supply Drops – Spawning a supply drop in a nearby area
These quests have a time limit and must be completed within a few minutes. If you fail to open the loot or use the weapon in time, the task will be unsuccessful. However, they are generally easy to complete within the allotted time, and quests that reward better weapons can even give you an edge in winning a game of Fortnite!
