The recent Fortnite season may have started off quietly with the All Sweat Summer event, but the collaboration with Pirates of the Caribbean is anything but small! Similar to previous crossovers like Avatar and Ninja Turtles, this collaboration brings new items, a full event pass, and changes to the loot pool. Let’s dive into what’s new with the Fortnite Pirates of the Caribbean collab.
Fortnite Pirates of the Caribbean Collab
New Cosmetics
The highlight of this crossover is the Fortnite Jack Sparrow skin, now available in the event pass. Additionally, there are other characters available in the Item Store. Completing new quests will also unlock cosmetics in the Jack Sparrow set.
Cursed Sails Quests
With the new event pass comes a set of quests focused on pirates content in the game. These quests will help you progress through the event pass and unlock more cosmetics, as well as aid in Battle Pass progression.
Map Changes
One noticeable map change is the addition of pirate ships scattered around the map, offering a refreshing change from the previously dominant cars.
Ship in a Bottle Mythic
Among the event’s unvaulted items is the Ship in a Bottle, a new mobility tool that allows players to ride a small ship forward. This addition seems to be tailored to counter the current chaotic loot pool.
Returning Items
In addition to the new items, a few older items are making a return from the previous pirate-themed Fortnite season. These include the Pirate Cannon, Buried Treasure, and Flint-Knock Pistol, adding variety to casual matches.
End Date
If you’re eager to unlock everything, you’ll need to act fast as the event concludes on August 6th at 4 AM. This deadline coincides with the release of a new update, giving you until then to decide if the collab’s pass is worth acquiring.
