Brawl Stars has captured the hearts of millions of users, but there are days when the odds may not be in your favor. To address this, Supercell has introduced a special status for players known as Underdogs. But what exactly does being an underdog mean in Brawl Stars?
Supercell is likely to provide you with a fighting chance if you are labeled as an underdog. Let’s dive into the definition of an underdog.
What does Underdog Mean in Brawl Stars?
According to Supercell, if you and your teammates have a trophy gap of 150 in 3v3 games, you will receive the Underdog Status. This status allows you to earn more Mastery Points and trophies, gaining an extra four Trophies along with some rare rewards. Moreover, you will not face any trophy loss while holding the Underdog Status.
For instance, suppose you are in a lobby with 900 points, your friend has 400 points, and a third player enters with 600 points. The lobby’s matchmaking will be based on your combined ranking, putting the third player at a disadvantage and granting them the Underdog Status.
If you decide to click on the “Play Again” option, your underdog status will be removed, giving you the opportunity to explore new strategies and face new challenges.
It’s important to note that the Underdog Status is exclusive to 3v3 game modes to maintain competitive integrity and enhance your understanding of how different Brawlers synergize with one another.
Additionally, there isn’t a guaranteed method to obtain the Underdog Status in the game. Players can try their luck by teaming up with individuals who have a lower trophy count to increase their chances of acquiring the Underdog Status.
