Voodoo, a publisher specializing in hypercasual and hybridcasual games, has recently formed a partnership with Audiomob to introduce audio ads into its games.
Under the agreement, Audiomob will serve as the exclusive audio advertising partner for the top 50% of Voodoo’s game inventory. The goal is to seamlessly integrate skippable and rewarded audio ads throughout Voodoo’s games and applications.
Wilfrid Obeng, the co-founder and CTO of Audiomob (pictured on the right in the main image), explained that audio ads can be included within gameplay to allow for uninterrupted play without visual distractions, creating a more user-friendly experience.
Obeng emphasized, “Audio ads offer developers a way to monetize their games and apps without disrupting the user experience. Our research shows that incorporating audio ads does not negatively impact user retention.”
“The Audiomob SDK evaluates the device volume on both Android and iOS platforms, revealing that over 75% of users maintain a volume level above the 10% threshold. This indicates a high potential for monetization among users,” Obeng added.
“Seamless and Non-intrusive Ads”
Obeng noted that the partnership with Voodoo demonstrates the maturity of audio advertising as a viable marketing strategy. He asserted that audio ads offer a seamless and non-intrusive user experience while upholding strict privacy standards.
Baptiste Durif, the lead monetization manager at Voodoo, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Audiomob. He highlighted the global reach of Audiomob and the growth of in-app audio advertising formats. By incorporating skippable and rewarded audio ads, Voodoo aims to enhance the gaming experience for players and provide advertisers with a valuable platform to connect with a vast player base.
