The initial storyline centers around Val’s friend, who is chosen as an alm, tasked with traveling to the Mana Tree to restore the flow of mana. Val volunteers to serve as their Soul Guard, responsible for protecting the alm during their journey.

Visions of Mana intensifies the action-oriented gameplay. Players will navigate rich environments and engage in combat with standard attacks, launchers, and magic spells seamlessly. Additionally, the introduction of pikuls as mounts will aid in traversing the expansive maps, offering the ability to charge through enemies and explore. While the game does not boast a fully open world, there are modest loading sections between larger hubs.

One notable gameplay feature is the use of Elementals, which are items possessing unique properties. Players can exploit enemy weaknesses and unleash powerful ultimate attacks by deploying each Elemental against the appropriate foe.
