Valve has announced that floor tickets for all three days of The International 2024 have officially sold out, marking a significant milestone as a large portion of the highly sought-after seats for TI13 are no longer up for grabs. This news was disclosed alongside the introduction of Ringmaster late on Thursday evening (Aug. 22).
While floor tickets are no longer available, there are still a limited number of arena tickets up for sale. However, these seats will be general admission, positioned further back from the stage without assigned seating.
Floor seats were the only designated seating option in the Royal Arena, Copenhagen, for The International. Priced the same as non-assigned seating, these seats could be selected at the time of purchase or remained as the default choice. The remaining seats will be distributed between levels one and three of the arena.
The sellout indicates strong demand for the nearly $700 tickets. Upon the initial ticket release, the Dota 2 community expressed reservations about the escalating costs. Ticket prices for The International have almost doubled over the past three years, starting at around $350 during TI11 in Singapore.
Despite the criticisms of the high prices, The International is anticipated to draw a large crowd. The Royal Arena, typically hosting around 16,000 attendees for concerts, may have a reduced capacity for The International due to stage setups, production equipment, desks, and other event elements taking up space.
Tickets for The International 2024 are still available for purchase through Ticketmaster.dk. As of now, day tickets and weekend passes are still on sale.
The International 2024 commences on Sep. 4 with the Road to the International event, featuring the Group Stage and initial playoffs. The ticketed Finals Weekend will start on Sep. 13 for in-person attendees.
