VALORANT Console Open Beta Now Available in Select Regions
The VALORANT Console Limited Beta was first introduced on June 11 in specific regions such as Europe and North America. During this phase, Riot Games unveiled exclusive features tailored for the console version of the game, which was made available for Xbox Series X|S and PS5. The response from the VALORANT community and FPS console enthusiasts was overwhelmingly positive.
With the official launch of the open beta on July 26, players no longer need a limited beta key to access the game. They can simply download it from their console’s app store. It’s important for console players to be aware that cross-platform matchmaking between VALORANT Console and PC is not available, and gameplay is restricted to controllers only, with no support for keyboard and mouse. The current download size of the game is 33.98 GB.
The regions where the VALORANT Console Open Beta is currently supported include the USA, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil. Notably, players do not need a subscription to participate in the open beta, although PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscribers may receive in-game benefits.
