Since its initial limited beta launch, VALORANT Console has been the hot topic in the gaming world. Fans were thrilled that the game managed to capture the same gameplay essence as its PC counterpart. Just a week ago, VALORANT announced that the console version had transitioned into open beta, eliminating the need for limited beta keys to access the game.
Now that VALORANT is officially available on console, let’s take a look at how fans can download it on either PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
- Power up your console.
- Head to the relevant console app store (PlayStation store/Xbox Store).
- Click on the search bar.

Exciting Updates about the Console Version of VALORANT
As of now, not all VALORANT maps are available on the console version. Riot Games disclosed in a blog post that starting from Patch 9.02 to Patch 9.06, one new map will be introduced to the console version, with plans to eventually include all maps in the game post-Patch 9.06.
Additionally, the console version boasts two exclusive features – Toggle Abilities and Focused Shooting. Focused Shooting offers a unique gameplay experience by adjusting controller sensitivity for improved aiming, distinct from ADS. For beta players, their ranks have been reset post-launch.
In an official statement, VALORANT highlighted that players will need to complete placement games to attain a new rank, with the likelihood of starting at a lower rank than before.
