I have been undecided about V Rising, which officially released out of early access in May. It offers players the chance to embody a vampire, exploring a dark and gothic world while balancing survival game mechanics. Managing your vampire’s needs like avoiding sunlight and regularly drinking blood adds a challenge similar to other survival games that require players to monitor their characters’ basic needs.
If you are curious about V Rising, you can take advantage of a limited-time promotion by Stunlock Studios. Starting from today, September 12, until 1 p.m. ET on September 16, you can play V Rising for free on PC with a Steam account. Additionally, there are discounts available for the game and cosmetic DLC until September 24, with the full game and DLC bundle being offered at a 31% discount for $72, marking the biggest discount on the game since its launch.
V Rising also introduced a Legacy of Castlevania special edition at its launch in June, featuring Castlevania-themed cosmetics for PC and PlayStation 5 players. The Steam version of this DLC is currently available for $16.
However, PlayStation 5 players do not have access to the same deal. Apologies to PlayStation owners, better luck next time!
V Rising began in early access before gaining popularity on Steam. The game’s unique mix of genres, open-world gameplay, and resource management has attracted a significant player base, with Stunlock proudly announcing 500,000 players within the first five days and one million in the first week. The free weekend has been well-received, with around 10,900 concurrent players on SteamDB at the time of writing.
