Ubisoft has announced the development of a new version of Rainbow Six: Siege, exclusively for Netflix.
The new title, Rainbow Six Smol, takes a departure from its parent game as it is a top-down isometric roguelite with a cartoonish art style. It is available today on Netflix for iOS and Android.
In Smol, players control a team of Operators with unique abilities and weapons to take on various missions. The game features five modes and ten different enemy factions, some of which are non-human. Each mission has different objectives, such as bomb defusal or hostage rescue. As a roguelite, if the enemy succeeds in their objectives, the player’s recruit character dies, and they must start over.
This is the latest game from Ubisoft to launch on Netflix, following the releases of Valiant Hearts: Coming Home and Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace on the streaming service. The two companies are also collaborating on shows, including Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. Netflix’s gaming library continues to expand, following the success of last year’s addition of the GTA Trilogy.
