Exciting news for tech enthusiasts as Google’s highly anticipated event on August 13 draws near. The unveiling of the Google Pixel Watch 3 is expected, and recent discoveries have unveiled two key details about the upcoming smartwatch.
Recently, four Pixel Watch 3 models—identified by the model numbers GBDU9, GG3HH, GRY0E, and GGE4J—have passed through the FCC. Two of these models feature LTE connectivity, while the remaining two support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Of particular interest are two common specifications found in all four models: Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.
UWB, a feature that has been rumored since March, is expected to enhance functionalities like phone unlocking with a Pixel smartphone connected to the Pixel Watch 3. There are also speculations that Google might introduce a high-accuracy tracking feature that mirrors Precision Finding on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
The inclusion of 5GHz Wi-Fi in the Pixel Watch 3 promises faster data performance compared to its predecessors. The previous models—the original Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2—only supported 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Aside from these exciting features, Google’s third Pixel smartwatch is expected to introduce two size options: the regular Pixel Watch 3 and a larger Pixel Watch 3 XL. Although the overall design remains similar to the previous models, the addition of a larger size offers users more diversity.
Stay tuned for more rumors and updates on the Pixel Watch 3 as we approach the Made by Google event on August 13, where all official details will be revealed.
