The Sims 4 and other near-future projects
EA Entertainment’s president Laura Miele revealed during the company’s Investor Day presentation a shift in The Sims’ sequel strategy, focusing on building a comprehensive Sims platform rather than releasing new standalone games. This approach includes enhancing The Sims 4, initiating Project Rene, and reviving MySims with a Switch launch titled My Sims: Cozy Bundle.
The Sims 4 now introduces Creator Kits, created by the community, and a mobile title, The Sims: Project Stories, emphasizing storytelling within The Sims universe. EA aims to unify these experiences through a shared social network, recognizing the emotional connections players have with the franchise.
