PlayStation has exciting plans for its 30th anniversary, with special edition consoles and accessories that are sure to bring back nostalgia for fans. Two bundles are being offered: a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with a 1TB SSD, and a PlayStation 5 Pro with a 2TB SSD and extra goodies like a DualSense Edge controller and charging station. Both bundles include cable connectors, PlayStation-themed cable ties, a sticker, poster, and PlayStation Paperclip. Preorders start on September 26 at PlayStation Direct and select retailers, coinciding with the availability of the PS5 Pro for preorder.
The design of the 30th anniversary products pays homage to the classic gray color scheme of the original PlayStation. The DualSense controllers feature the iconic four colored face buttons and a home button resembling the old PlayStation logo. Even the USB-C cable connector includes elements of the original design. Limited to just 12,500 units worldwide, the PS5 Pro has a special serial number on one of its panels.
In addition to the hardware releases, PlayStation is also offering exclusive game trials, digital soundtracks, and board games for preorder as part of its anniversary celebration.
