Aspyr Media has announced the remaster of the classic game Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles, set to release on January 23, 2025, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
The trailer showcases the action-packed gameplay of Jedi Power Battles, providing players with the opportunity to play as various iconic characters including Darth Maul and Queen Amidala. The remaster offers new features such as the ability to unlock additional playable characters and choose from multiple lightsaber colors.
In addition to updated features, players can experience both classic and modern control schemes, play in couch co-op mode, and enjoy upgraded models and environments. Despite being a lesser-known game, the remaster aims to provide a fresh experience for fans of the Star Wars franchise.
Aspyr, known for their work on Star Wars remasters, will be offering Jedi Power Battles at a price of $20, with preorders currently available on various platforms. While their track record includes successful remasters like Republic Commando, some projects have faced challenges such as the recent Battlefront Classic Collection.
Although the development of the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake was initially led by Aspyr, it has since been transferred to Saber Interactive, the parent company, for continued progress.
