Group B of the Thunderpick WC 2024 was filled with intense online Counter-Strike action, following yesterday’s smooth progression of 3DMAX from Group A. This time, it was a battle between The MongolZ, Cloud9, Fnatic, and 9z Team to secure their spot in the next round.

The MongolZ secured their qualification from Group B without dropping a single map. While it wasn’t an easy ride, they defeated Cloud9 with both maps ending 13:11 in their favor, and Fnatic with scores of 13:11 and 13:7. The MongolZ had to work hard for their wins, earning a well-deserved spot in the next round.
While Techno faced some struggles, the rest of The MongolZ team stepped up, especially IGL bLitz who showed exceptional performance. The team now advances to the Playoffs Play-in for a chance to secure a spot in November’s Thunderpick WC 2024 LAN event.
Cloud9 narrowly avoid elimination
After losing to The MongolZ, Cloud9 faced a tough battle against 9z Team and managed to secure a 2:0 victory on Mirage and Anubis, keeping their tournament hopes alive.
HeavyGod played a crucial role in Cloud9’s survival, posting an impressive performance with a 44:22 statline. The team now remains in the competition, while 9z Team bows out. Fnatic will also continue to compete in the next round alongside Cloud9.
