This year marked the 100th anniversary of IFA (International Funkausstellung or “radio exhibition”), which is truly remarkable to contemplate. Attending the show this year felt like a grand return of “Europe’s biggest tech show” since 2019, with a plethora of exciting announcements and products to explore.
We personally traveled to Berlin to experience it firsthand and were pleasantly surprised by the level of innovation on display, with AI taking center stage as expected. From experimental laptops to innovative smart home devices, here are some of the top tech highlights from IFA 2024.
Honor Magic V3
While IFA 2024 didn’t unveil many new smartphones, the standout device of the show was the Honor Magic V3. It is among the numerous folding phones introduced in 2024, but it distinguishes itself by not feeling like a traditional folding phone.
The Honor Magic V3 boasts a slim 9.2mm profile when closed and weighs just 226 grams, making it thinner and lighter than popular flagship smartphones. Despite its compact form, it features a spacious 7.92-inch display, creating an immersive experience for gaming and multimedia consumption.

Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC
The Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC is a captivating concept that showcases innovative technology. Equipped with a rotating hinge, this PC enables hands-free operation, responding to voice commands to open, close, and transform into various modes.
The device’s ability to track and follow the user’s movements, along with its seamless integration of voice activation, adds a layer of convenience and futuristic charm. Despite its compact size and budget-friendly price, the DJI Neo delivers impressive performance with up to 18 minutes of flight time and intuitive controls.
