Team Spirit is bidding farewell, at least temporarily, to two of their TI-winning roster members, Illya “Raddan” Mulyarchuk and Myroslav “Mira” Kolpakov, as they take a break from competitive play. Both Mira and Raddan, also known as Yatoro, will be moving to Team Spirit’s inactive roster, according to the team’s announcement on social media.
The reason for their break remains unknown. Both Mira and Yatoro played vital roles in Team Spirit’s previous TI victories, as well as their success at the Riyadh Masters in 2023. However, at this year’s International, the team suffered an unexpected elimination by G2 x iG in the Lower Bracket.
This early exit meant that the two-time TI winners could not defend their title for more than one playoff match.
In their farewell statement, Team Spirit wished Mira and Yatoro a restful break, reminiscing about their shared victories and achievements over the years.
“Thank you for two triumphs at The International, for Riyadh Masters, and for many other tournaments. Thank you for the emotions you’ve given to the fans.”
The departure of these players leaves Team Spirit with a significant gap in their roster just before three major Dota 2 tournaments. With PGL Wallachia Season 2 starting on Oct. 4, betBoom Dacha Belgrade on Oct. 19, and DreamLeague Season 24 qualifiers on Sep. 24, the team faces a challenge in finding suitable replacements in a short time frame.
Although the list of potential replacements is currently short, rumors are circulating, and announcements are expected soon regarding who will fill the void left by Raddan and Mira in Team Spirit.
