Team Secret has made significant changes to its Dota 2 roster, parting ways with all three of its cores as part of a complete rebuild. The news was officially announced on Team Secret’s social media on Tuesday, August 13.
Rumors of the lineup changes had been circulating for weeks, with players gradually announcing their departures. Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan confirmed his exit from the team on July 25, followed by Teng “Kordan” Tjin Yao on Aug. 10, and Crystallis on Aug. 11.
This leaves Team founder and captain, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, as the sole remaining member of the team. The organization has retained its coaching staff and administrative members, signaling a complete rebuild around Puppey.
In a statement, Team Secret expressed gratitude to the departing players and wished them the best in their future endeavors. The organization acknowledged the players’ dedication and looked forward to the next chapter.
Team Secret faced challenges throughout 2024, struggling to maintain their earlier success and missing out on key events, including The International. Looking ahead to the new season, the team will likely focus on rebuilding their roster at The International 2024, a crucial event for scouting new talent.
