As the LEC Spring Split approaches, Team Heretics has made significant changes to its LoL roster.
Team Heretics – Roster Changes for LEC Spring
The news broke today through a video posted by Heretics’ co-founder and Chief Gaming Arnau Vidal along with LoL General Manager Alvar Araneae.
Vidal revealed that veteran mid laner Perkz will be replaced by rookie Zwyroo for the upcoming Spring Split. Additionally, support player Kaiser will be substituted by former Fnatic support Trymbi, returning to the competitive scene after a break during the Winter Split.
Despite high hopes following a strong finish last season and the acquisition of former G2 players Wunder, Jankos, and Perkz, Team Heretics fell short with a 4-5 record and an early exit from playoffs.
Originally planning only one change with Trymbi, Vidal cited a lack of improvement in team dynamics as the reason for Perkz’s substitution. Reports suggest internal discord between Perkz and team management further necessitated the roster change.
Welcome Zwyroo
Zwyroo, a familiar face in the ERL circuit, will step into Perkz’s shoes for Team Heretics. Despite his previous experience with the team’s academy, this will be his first opportunity to showcase his skills on the LEC stage.
Both Zwyroo and Trymbi will debut in the LEC on Saturday, March 9, marking the beginning of the second split of the season.
