- The game has already attracted 11 million pre-registrations on Android
SuperGaming, a leading Indian video game developer, has announced the availability of pre-orders for their battle royale game Indus on iOS, following a massive 11 million pre-registrations on the Android platform.
Infused with Indian culture and optimized for lower-end devices, Indus is dedicated to meeting player demands and expanding accessibility while maintaining quality standards. The game is set to launch on Apple devices on October 25th, 2024.
Players who pre-order the game on iOS will gain access to an exclusive closed beta and receive special rewards at the official launch.
Expansion from Android to Apple and beyond
Indus is powered by SuperGaming’s proprietary SuperPlatform, which will be utilized for playtests in Indore, Chennai, and Kochi to gather player feedback and enhance the battle royale experience.
The SuperPlatform is also available for use by other developers and has been instrumental in the release of games like Pac-Man by Bandai Namco in India and SuperGaming’s own Battle Stars.
In an interview with PocketGamer.biz, SuperGaming CEO Roby John discussed the inspiration behind Indus, the concept of “Indo-Futurism,” and the incorporation of esports in the game’s future plans for success.
John stated, “We wanted Indus to be inclusive of all types of gamers, similar to games like Fortnite. Our goal is to showcase Indian culture on a global platform through the medium of interactive gaming.”
The transition from Android to Apple devices is expected to further expand Indus’ reach and impact upon its full launch.
