Supercell’s newest soft launch game, Squad Busters, has quickly climbed to the No. 1 spot for App Store game downloads in all the countries where it’s available, as reported by data from Appfigures to PocketGamer.biz.
This multiplayer action game was released for soft launch on April 23rd on both the App Store and Google Play. Currently, it holds the top position in the App Store download rankings for the games category in several countries including Canada, Denmark, Finland, Mexico, Norway, Singapore, Spain, and Sweden.
Top Rankings Across the Board
In addition to its game category rankings, Squad Busters also holds the No. 1 spot in overall App Store rankings for Canada, Finland, and Spain. The game is also in the top five in all other countries except Mexico, where it currently holds the No. 18 position.
Furthermore, Squad Busters ranks No. 10 in Spain’s top-grossing App Store rankings for games and No. 15 in Finland.
While data for Google Play download rankings is not currently available, the game’s store page indicates that it has already generated over 100,000 downloads on Google Play. This count may include previous installations from limited beta tests conducted in February and May 2023.
This soft launch of Squad Busters marks Supercell’s first global release in over five years since the launch of Brawl Stars in December 2018. Other soft launch titles that have been tested during this time include Floodrush, Clash Mini, Hay Day Pop, and Everdale. Notably, Everdale was later acquired by Merge Mansion developer Metacore.
