Sony has released an update for its top-tier earbuds and headphones, the WF-1000XM5 and WH-1000XM5, through the Sony Sound Connect app. This update includes support for Google’s Find My Device network for both models and adds features like Google Fast Pair and Auto Switch.
The update process may take up to 40 minutes on Android devices and up to an hour on iPhones, so plan accordingly. After updating, users can utilize the Find My Device app to track their devices and even make them play a sound. Additionally, the headphones receive a security update to enhance user experience.
Once updated, users will be on version 2.3.1 for the headphones and version 4.0.2 for the earbuds. These updates reinforce why both the buds and headphones have consistently made it to the top of lists for the best headphones and earbuds available this year.
