Mystic Games has partnered with Jambo to integrate the Web3 game Call of the VoYd into Jambo’s mobile devices.
Previously available for download via app stores, Mystic’s play-to-earn title will now come pre-installed on JamboPhones, providing more opportunities to introduce the blockchain experience to users across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
JamboPhones are designed with accessibility in mind, and this partnership aims to empower economic opportunities in these regions, offering a pathway to financial inclusion.
Jambo’s mobile reach currently extends to over 40 countries.
Integrating Web3
A JamboPhone is essentially an Android 13 device powered by a suite of Jambo applications, including JamboPlay, JamboEarn, and JamboWallet. With a Web3 game like Call of the VoYd being pre-installed on smartphones that already support crypto transactions, Web3 becomes more accessible to a broader audience.
Purchasers of the smartphone will have immediate access to Mystic’s roguelike game and Jambo’s reward system. Combined with the opportunity to discover free NFTs in-game, Mystic is poised to reach a wider player base through this collaboration.
“Bringing Call of the VoYd to the JamboPhone is not just about expanding our game’s reach; it’s about unlocking the potential for play-to-earn games in Africa. We are excited to see how this partnership will enable individuals in emerging markets to engage with cutting-edge gaming technology and earn rewards in the process,” said Mystic Games CEO Matthew Buxton.
Adding to this, Jambo CEO James Zhang stated, “Our collaboration with Mystic Games demonstrates our shared commitment to democratizing access to the digital economy on a global scale. By incorporating ‘Call of the VoYd’ into the JamboPhone, we are not only providing an exciting gaming experience but also unlocking financial opportunities for our users in emerging markets.”
Last autumn, veterans from Zynga, FunPlus, and NetEase received an $8 million investment towards their NFT dinosaur game.
