Following a turbulent start on day one of the Skyesports Championship 2024, the tournament has successfully rebounded to deliver an action-packed Group Stage. This remarkable turnaround has brought excitement back to the event after fears that several teams might withdraw following the initial day.
As the competitive CS2 matches unfolded over the past few days, six teams have now secured their spots in the tournament, with some shining brightly while others faltered. Let’s take a closer look at the teams that advanced in the Skyesports Championship 2024 and those who fell short.
Aurora and Eternal Fire Secure Semi-Final Spots
Impressing with their performances in the Group Stage, both Aurora and Eternal Fire have secured spots in the Semi-Finals of the Skyesports Championship 2024 by topping their respective groups. Eternal Fire went undefeated in Group B, while Aurora faced a setback only against The MongolZ.
The standout players for Eternal Fire, woxic and XANTARES, displayed exceptional skill on the server in Mumbai. They proved to be the driving forces behind EF’s success, reminding everyone of their capabilities. In the case of Aurora, Norwi played a crucial role as the in-game leader, delivering standout performances throughout the Group Stage. His 30-bomb against ENCE was particularly impressive, showcasing his consistent excellence.
Disappointment for BLEED as they Miss Playoffs
Despite being considered one of the favorites, BLEED failed to advance past the Group Stage of the Skyesports Championship 2024. With 9 points, they were eliminated alongside ENCE and The MongolZ in Group A due to Round Difference criteria, highlighting the impact of narrow victories and significant losses on BLEED’s campaign.
The underperformance of nexa and CYPHER was evident throughout the tournament for BLEED. While nexa was expected to shine after his departure from G2, he has yet to reach his full potential in the new team. However, there is still hope for improvement as he adjusts to his role in the lineup.
ENCE Struggle but Secure Quarter-Final Berth
ENCE managed to secure a place in the Quarter-Finals of the Skyesports Championship 2024, albeit through a challenging path. Their advancement was based on Round Difference, narrowly edging out BLEED. Despite their qualification, ENCE’s performance was not up to par with their potential, raising concerns about their ability to compete for the title.
Several players from ENCE, including Kylar, sdy, and podi, displayed strong performances in Mumbai. However, gla1ve and Goofy will need to step up their game if ENCE aims to claim the Skyesports Championship 2024.
