Melissa Facchina, co-founder of Siddhi Capital, developed her passion for efficient operations while working in her family’s juice manufacturing business at a young age.
As she matured, Facchina noticed a shift in the food system, with consumers demanding transparency and higher quality ingredients. She identified a gap in the market where big consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies were not meeting these needs, leading her to launch Siddhi Services, an outsourced operating consultancy firm.
Siddhi Services worked with over 500 food and beverage companies, contributing to 93 successful exits. Facchina observed a problematic dynamic between investors and companies, prompting her to establish Siddhi Capital, an operationally focused growth equity firm in the food and beverage industry.
Siddhi Capital’s portfolio includes well-known brands like Aura Bora, Thistle, Mid-Day Squares, and Magic Spoon. Facchina, along with co-founder Steven Finn, raised nearly $70 million for Fund I, with Brian Finn serving as chairman.
Despite challenges faced by emerging fund managers, Siddhi Capital successfully closed a $135 million Fund II. Facchina attributes their fundraising success in part to the trust and support of high-net-worth investors influenced by Brian Finn.
Facchina’s firm focuses on investing in consumer packaged goods companies and food tech startups, aiming to deploy $5-10 million into companies generating $25-100 million in revenue.
