Following the recent announcement of a delay in Samsung’s One UI 7 until early 2025, there is some exciting news to look forward to. Samsung is introducing a redesigned camera app in One UI 7 that promises to enhance the experience of taking photos with just one hand.
Android Authority shared a YouTube video discussing the new camera app, providing valuable insights that are worth checking out in the video, which runs for just over 6 minutes.
User SamMobile also shared a hands-on video showcasing his experience with One UI 7. In the video, around the 5-minute mark, he delves into the specifics of the new camera app and highlights key changes.
The most significant change is that the viewfinder settings are now located at the bottom of the screen for easier access when using the camera single-handedly. The settings are presented in a carousel format, allowing users to seamlessly navigate through different options without straining their hand. This update enables users to adjust features like flash settings and aspect ratio without the need for extensive menu navigation.
Additionally, the app will automatically display relevant settings based on the selected camera mode. Although these changes were previously hinted at through leaked screenshots, this video offers a clearer look at the updated camera app.
It’s important to note that Samsung has not officially announced the One UI 7.0 Beta yet, so there may be further adjustments before the final release next year. Nevertheless, the improvements introduced in this new interface are certainly something to look forward to.
