Samsung recently announced new updates for select televisions and a range of earbuds. These updates will introduce new features and enhance cross-device compatibility.
Auracast is one of the most notable upcoming features, allowing devices to pick up signals broadcast by others. This feature is currently available on select TVs and multiple Galaxy Buds models, and will soon expand to phones and tablets in the Galaxy series. Samsung also unveiled plans to add the ability to listen to an Auracast broadcast across various Galaxy series products.
360 Audio will also see an expansion, allowing supported devices to fill the surrounding area with sound. Samsung will extend support for this feature to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Buds 2, as well as select TV models.
Furthermore, Samsung aims to simplify device switching and bring seamless switching capability to new devices. This feature will work with the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy phones and tablets with One UI 4.1.1 and up, the Galaxy Book series, Galaxy Watch 4, and Samsung TVs from February 2022 and newer.
Real-time translation is another feature that will be available for users of Galaxy Buds and Galaxy S24 phones.
Samsung has indicated that these updates will start rolling out late February.
