NAVI’s renowned AWPer, s1mple, has dropped a hint about his highly anticipated comeback to competitive CS2. After stepping down from NAVI nine months ago due to personal reasons and a lack of enthusiasm for CS2, it appears that he is on the brink of making his return to the competitive scene.

In a conversation on Twitter with Thorin, s1mple was asked if he plans to return to competitive CS2. While he admitted that it was a tough question, he also expressed optimism about his return happening “hopefully soon.” For fans of s1mple, this response is a positive sign after his extended absence.
Despite his hiatus, s1mple has not been completely out of the loop. Earlier this year, he competed for Falcons at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024. However, Falcons’ early elimination from the tournament left s1mple uncertain about his future in the scene. He will be aiming for a more successful return this time around.

When s1mple makes his comeback to competitive Counter-Strike, the big question will be which team he will join. With w0nderful currently filling his spot on NAVI, it would be unfair to replace the talented youngster after his commendable performances. s1mple has hinted at a potential switch from AWP to rifle, which could pave the way for his return to NAVI’s main lineup.
Despite s1mple’s underwhelming stint with Falcons, there will be no shortage of offers for him if he doesn’t return to NAVI. Widely regarded as one of the best CS:GO players of all time, s1mple is expected to regain his form with dedicated practice. For s1mple, average is truly exceptional for anyone else.
