Exciting news from Boss Team Games! A new 16-bit action platformer based on the 1978 slasher classic Halloween has been announced and is set to release in October. This game is part of RetroRealms, a new series of retro-inspired console and PC games developed by WayForward Technologies and Boss Team.
The RetroRealms series will feature games based on Halloween and Ash vs Evil Dead, both scheduled to be released on October 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Boss Team CEO Steve Harris expressed his excitement about working on these legendary properties, stating that it is a dream come true for the studio. In addition to Halloween, the studio is also collaborating with John Carpenter on another Halloween title developed in Unreal Engine 5.
RetroRealms: Halloween and RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead are unique 16-bit platformers that offer a fresh gameplay experience. Players can control iconic characters from both franchises, exploring familiar settings while utilizing special abilities.
The games can be purchased individually for $25 each or as a Double Feature bundle for $50, with the option to unlock new features by purchasing both titles. There is also a Collector’s Edition available for $100, which includes both games, DLC content, a 12-inch Michael Myers plush, and other exclusive items.
