Remnant 2, recognized as one of the top multiplayer games of 2023, has recently received an update introducing crossplay. It is currently available at a reduced price of $30 on Steam for a limited time.
Launched in July 2023, Remnant 2 is a cooperative third-person looter shooter featuring exceptional boss battles. Its campaigns consist of procedurally generated worlds and narrative elements drawn from a diverse pool, providing a unique experience with each playthrough. While enjoyable solo, the game truly shines in cooperative play, supporting up to three players. Up until now, multiplayer has been limited to individual platforms.
After seven months since its launch, an update on February 29 finally brought crossplay to Remnant 2. The feature can be easily enabled in the gameplay settings menu.
Addressing the long-awaited feature, game director David Adams stated in a press release, “Crossplay has been one of the most requested features for Remnant 2, and our community has been incredibly patient. We are thrilled to introduce this update today, as our team has worked tirelessly to make it a reality.”
With crossplay becoming a standard in most multiplayer games across different platforms, its addition to Remnant 2 is a significant milestone and offers players a compelling reason to revisit this surprise hit from the previous year. To celebrate, the game’s price has been slashed to just $30 on Steam. The Ultimate Edition, including all released and upcoming DLC, is available for $42.
Remnant 2 is now accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While the Steam discount lasts until 9 a.m. PT on March 3, Xbox users can enjoy the game through Xbox Game Pass with a similar discount available for subscribers opting to purchase the full game.
