Reddit announced today the launch of Reddit Pro, a suite of tools designed to help businesses grow their presence organically on the platform. This initiative coincides with Reddit’s upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The aim of Reddit Pro is to attract more brands to the platform and potentially convert them into paying advertisers.
Currently in beta testing, Reddit Pro offers businesses access to an interface with various tools, including AI-powered insights that identify trending topics and relevant conversations specific to brands, notifying them when mentioned in subreddits. These insights assist businesses in engaging with both new and existing audiences and shaping their presence on Reddit.
The suite also includes publishing tools for drafting and scheduling public posts, providing businesses with a simple way to engage with communities. Additionally, it offers performance analytics for businesses to analyze the effectiveness of their organic posts and make informed strategic decisions, tracking engagement and progress in the Pro dashboard.
Businesses can amplify the reach of their posts by converting them into paid advertisements directly on the platform, without the need to leave. To do so, they simply need to click the “promote” button on one of their posts.
Over 200 businesses have already started using Reddit Pro, including brands like Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and The NFL. Early testing revealed that brands utilizing Reddit Pro saw significant boosts in engagement and upvotes on their organic content.
“Through Reddit Pro, we’re facilitating meaningful connections between companies and communities, enhancing participation through insights and tools for both organic and paid engagement, ultimately creating more valuable experiences for our users,” said Reddit’s Chief Marketing and Consumer Experience Officer, Roxy Young, in the company’s announcement.
Reddit Pro is currently available on a first-come, first-serve basis to businesses and organizations. The company also plans to introduce additional features later this year, although details have not been disclosed.
