The new PUBG 2024 Esports Roadmap has been announced! This year, we can expect to see four PGS events, both the Nations Cup and PGC will also be making a return. Additionally, a new event is set to coincide with the Esports World Cup in Riyadh this summer. Exciting times ahead for PUBG fans, as we eagerly await further details from Krafton.
PUBG Esports Roadmap 2024
All regional series and the season will officially start in March 2024. This means we have at least two more months to wait before we see some PUBG action!
All events this year, apart from the Nations Cup, will lead towards qualifying for the PUBG Global Championship. The PUBG Global Series (PGS) is making a return with four separate events, each rewarding points toward qualifying for PGC. Each PGS event will have a guaranteed prize fund of 300k. The regional qualifiers for each region will combine for 14 teams plus an additional 10 guaranteed seeds for partner teams. Interestingly, a team can theoretically qualify for PGC without even qualifying for PGS events, by earning points in each regional event. The seed allocation for PUBG Global Series events is as follows:
- APAC – 4 Seeds
- Korea – 3 Seeds
- Americas – 3 Seeds
- China – 2 Seeds
- EMEA – 2 Seeds
APAC is currently leading in terms of seed allocation through qualifiers. Keep in mind that EU and China already have three partner teams each, while APAC has none. We are still waiting for Krafton to announce the final two partner teams for this season. At present, the confirmed teams are: 17 Gaming, 4AM, Petrichor Road, Gen.G, NAVI, FaZe Clan, Twisted Minds, and Soniqs.
Krafton has also stated that all current partner teams are being re-evaluated, and some of them might not make the cut for the upcoming season. We can expect the full list of teams to be announced by the end of this month.
