Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is set to release on PC on May 16 with a new PlayStation overlay feature. This feature allows PC players to log in or create a PlayStation account and access various console features, including earning trophies.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PC will be the first PlayStation game to introduce the PlayStation overlay. This feature can be accessed through an in-game menu or a keyboard shortcut, offering access to friends list, trophies, settings, and profile. It will also allow PC players to earn PlayStation Trophies alongside Steam and Epic Games Achievements.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will share a trophy list with the PS5 version, meaning players who have already earned trophies on the console won’t be able to earn them again on PC.
Releasing over a year after the base game, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut includes the Iki Island expansion and the multiplayer Legends mode, both available on the PC version. While Legends mode supports crossplay between PC, PS4, and PS5, PC players need to sign in to a PlayStation Network account to access it. The use of the overlay is optional for both single-player and multiplayer modes.
No information has been provided on whether other PC releases of PlayStation titles like God of War, the Horizon series, or Spider-Man games will receive this overlay functionality in the future.
You can pre-purchase Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on Steam and Epic Games Store before its May 16 release.
