Stadium offers a platform for gaming enthusiasts to organize and participate in competitions independently, without institutional constraints. Teams are not required to have an institutional affiliate or designated coach. It supports both simple tournaments created by third-party partners and more complex competitions managed by PlayVS.
The Power of Gaming
Esports has had a positive impact on students, enhancing leadership skills and fostering a sense of community. Stadium aims to expand the positive influence of esports beyond the school environment.
PlayVS’ vision with Stadium is to remove barriers, increase inclusivity, and promote more competition for gamers. Since 2018, PlayVS has enabled over 250,000 matches across the U.S. and Canada, crowning over 900 state champions.
Stadium will allow players to compete even if their school doesn’t have an esports program, providing opportunities for students to participate in esports outside of the traditional school setting.
PlayVS is introducing Stadium with a public tournament starting on September 22, focusing on Rocket League. Students aged 13-18 in the U.S. and Canada can participate in this 3v3 tournament without coach or school requirements. Enrollment is open at stadium.playvs.com.
