If you can’t get enough election coverage from just one NBC-adjacent news channel on Peacock, you’re in luck. The streaming service is introducing a multiview feature in time for the November 5 festivities, offering a three-view, curated experience. This unique approach sets it apart from the typical multiview experience, and it could prove to be a refreshing change.
Peacock’s multiview feature will include breaking news, data analysis, and real-time election results. Users will have the ability to navigate between the screens, adjust the audio, and even watch one screen in full-screen mode.
The three views will showcase:
- NBC News Now, delivering breaking news and real-time coverage featuring Lester Holt, Savannah Guthrie, and other journalists reporting from battleground states.
- Steve Kornacki providing his own feed for in-depth polling analysis on election night.
- The NBC News Decision Desk displaying an “Election Results and Balance of Power” map in the third feed.
“Peacock continues to revolutionize the live streaming experience for viewers,” remarked Kelly Campbell, president of Peacock and direct-to-consumer for NBCUniversal, in a press release. “By expanding our popular multiview feature to election night coverage, we are merging the exceptional expertise of NBC News with Peacock’s cutting-edge technology to create a customer-centric way to watch the election unfold.”
It’s worth noting that the outcome of the presidential race may not be determined on election night. However, that shouldn’t discourage you from immersing yourself in all the latest news coverage. (Feel free to get some rest early, too.)
The multiview feature will be available starting at 6 p.m. ET on November 5 and will continue until the early hours of the following morning.
Additionally, on December 4, Peacock will bring back the multiview feature for English Premier League soccer matches, allowing viewers to watch up to four matches simultaneously.
