March was an exciting month for gaming enthusiasts. With the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco wrapping up, PAX East kicked off for a weekend of fun in Boston. We had the opportunity to attend the East Coast show and explore the exciting world of upcoming games.
PAX East was a vibrant celebration of all things gaming, bustling with players, cosplayers, and developers, alongside kiosks filled with game demos. We had the chance to try out several impressive titles at this year’s show, and here are some standout highlights that you don’t want to miss.
Lucid
One of the most talked-about games at PAX East was Lucid. Developed by The Matte Black Studio, this 2D action platformer combines stunning pixel art with smooth gameplay reminiscent of Mega Man X and Celeste. Its Crystal-Punk world, with its clever use of depth of field, offers a nostalgic yet modern visual experience.
