Join Patrick as he takes center stage in the newest game set in Bikini Bottom. Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game was announced during the recent Nintendo Direct event and will be released on October 4.
While Patrick has been a part of previous SpongeBob games, this will be his first solo adventure. Unlike the traditional collect-a-thon or platformer, The Patrick Star Game is a physics sandbox game similar to Goat Simulator. The original voice cast will be returning to lend their voices to the characters.
The trailer gives a glimpse of Patrick navigating an open-world version of Bikini Bottom, causing chaos along the way. Players can roll through walls, drive boats, skydive with an umbrella, and play with exploding pies and paint tubes to create havoc.
Aside from Patrick, other beloved characters from the show will make appearances, including Gary, SpongeBob, Sandy, Squidward, Mrs. Puff, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and more. While the game’s storyline is unclear, players can engage in various challenges and tasks in the open world to unlock new outfits or simply explore and discover hidden secrets.
SpongeBob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game will be available on October 4 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
