Party Icons, a mobile-first gaming platform with three fully playable modes, recently secured $9 million in funding despite market challenges.
The substantial investment highlights the strong institutional confidence in Party Icons’ ability to revolutionize the gaming industry with innovative gameplay design and an open ecosystem. This is powered by its unique “Party-as-a-Service” live operations model and integrated Web3 infrastructure, according to the company.
The funding round was led by Bitkraft Ventures, bringing Party Icons’ total funding to $20 million. Other investors include IDG Capital, Gam3Girl Ventures, Leap Capital, and several other prominent names in the industry.
Claire Lin, Party Icons co-founder, emphasized the platform’s vision to provide more than just traditional gameplay, aiming to create a space where players can engage in a thriving, player-driven economy. This new funding will enable the company to expand its gaming and social experiences, enhance Web3-enabled functionalities, and fuel global expansion in key markets.
Jonathan Huang, Principal at Bitkraft, praised Party Icons for its innovative approach to blending party game elements with intense shooter gameplay, enabled by clever integration of Web3 technology.
