Blizzard Entertainment announced a new crossover event between Overwatch 2 and Cowboy Bebop. A captivating trailer recreates the anime’s iconic opening with character skins from the collaboration.
The collaboration is set to kick off on March 12, featuring Legendary skins, emotes, and other items inspired by Cowboy Bebop in the game’s store. Skins include Cassidy as Spike Spiegel, Ashe as Faye Valentine, Mauga as Jet Black, Sombra as Ed, and a Wrecking Ball skin based on Ein. While most skins will require purchase through microtransactions, the Ein Wrecking Ball skin will be available for free.
In addition to the skins, Blizzard Entertainment hinted at featuring music from the anime series within the game, adding an extra layer of immersion. This collaboration event follows in the footsteps of the successful Le Sserafim event from last September, showcasing Blizzard’s commitment to providing engaging content for Overwatch 2.
Cowboy Bebop, a highly acclaimed sci-fi anime, seamlessly translates its main characters’ designs into Overwatch 2 character skins. The iconic opening of the Cowboy Bebop anime has generated excitement and interest for what’s next in Overwatch 2, especially following the recent layoffs of some developers in January 2024.
These Cowboy Bebop skins will be available in Overwatch 2 starting on March 12, with no specific end date announced by Blizzard Entertainment.
