OG’s Dota 2 team has announced a roster shuffle as they part ways with Peruvian carry player Enzo “Timado” Gianoli. The departure was confirmed through a social media post on Sep. 21.
Timado joined OG in May of 2024 and competed with the team in various tournaments throughout the year, including Dream League S22, Elite League Season 1 and 2, ESL One Birmingham 2024, Riyadh Masters, and The International 2024 Western European Qualifiers.
However, Timado’s time with OG was marked by a lack of success. Despite being part of a prestigious organization like OG, the team’s performance in 2024 was underwhelming, failing to qualify for multiple events including TI13. Their most notable achievement was their participation in ESL One Birmingham 2024 as a last-minute replacement.
OG expressed gratitude towards Timado in their announcement and wished him well in his future endeavors. While it is unclear who will fill the carry position, there are speculations of potential replacements, with Thai superstar Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon being one of the rumored candidates.
OG is now focused on improving both their roster and performance in the upcoming months. Once dominant in Western European Dota 2, the team currently occupies a lower tier and faces a challenge in maintaining their status as two-time TI champions. Fans continue to support OG, but the team must strive for more success in the future.
OG’s next tests are at the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024: Western Europe Closed Qualifiers and the DreamLeague Season 24 Qualifiers, happening shortly. There will likely be an announcement regarding the Dota 2 roster as the registration deadline approaches.
