Introducing Strands, a fresh daily puzzle challenge by the New York Times that puts a new twist on the traditional word search. Test your observation skills and solve this engaging puzzle.
Similar to popular games like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can present a challenge on certain days. Don’t hesitate to seek assistance if you’re stuck. Below, you can find the solved puzzle for today’s Strands.
How to play Strands
To start a Strands puzzle, your objective is to uncover the “theme words” hidden within the letter grid. Move letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Even if you discover a word that isn’t a theme word, it still aids you in solving the puzzle. For every three non-theme words of at least four letters each, you’ll receive a hint revealing the letters of a theme word, which you must unscramble.
All letters on the grid are utilized to spell out the theme words, with no overlaps. Each letter is used exactly once.
Each puzzle includes a “spangram,” a special theme word or words that describe the puzzle’s theme and connect two opposite sides of the board. When you find the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The goal is to complete the puzzle swiftly without relying heavily on hints.
