Introducing Strands, a fresh daily puzzle challenge by the New York Times. A unique twist on the traditional word search, this puzzle requires a sharp eye and quick thinking to conquer.
Similar to popular games like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can pose a challenge on certain days. If you find yourself stuck, don’t hesitate to seek assistance. Below, you can find the solved puzzle for today’s Strands.
How to play Strands
To begin a Strands puzzle, your goal is to uncover the themed words hidden within the grid of letters. Manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words. Double-tap the final letter to confirm a word. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Even non-themed words contribute to your progress. Find three non-themed words that are at least four letters long, and you’ll receive a hint – revealing the letters of one theme word for you to unscramble.
Every single letter on the grid is essential in forming the theme words without any overlap. And every letter will be used exactly once.
Each puzzle includes a “spangram,” a special theme word that describes the puzzle’s theme and spans two opposite sides of the board. Discovering the spangram will be highlighted in yellow.
The objective is to solve the puzzle swiftly and efficiently with minimal hints.
