Strands is an exciting new daily puzzle introduced by the New York Times. A more challenging version of the traditional word search, solving this puzzle requires a sharp eye and attention to detail.
Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can pose a challenge on certain days. Don’t hesitate to seek help when you’re stuck. If you need the answers to today’s Strands puzzle, you can find them below.
How to play Strands
Each Strands puzzle starts with the task of uncovering the “theme words” hidden within the letter grid. You can manipulate letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm. When you discover a correct word, the letters will be highlighted in blue and no longer selectable.
Finding non-theme words is also beneficial. For every three non-theme words that are at least four letters long, you’ll receive a hint – one of the theme words’ letters will be revealed for unscrambling.
All the letters on the grid are used to spell out the theme words without any overlapping. Each letter is used once and only once.
Every puzzle includes a “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) describing the puzzle’s theme and reaching two opposite sides of the board. Once you identify the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The objective is to complete the puzzle promptly with minimal hints.
