Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The objective is to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. Each puzzle resets daily at midnight, offering varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips below. If you still need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words that you need to organize into four sets by identifying their connections. These connections could be anything from video game titles to shades of red.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there’s only one correct answer. You can shuffle the grid to better visualize the connections.
Each set is color-coded from easiest (yellow) to hardest (purple). Select four words and submit. Correct answers reveal the theme; incorrect guesses count as mistakes.
