Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. Your objective is to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by deciphering how they are related to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
Some days may prove to be more challenging than others. If you’re having trouble solving today’s Connections puzzle, take a look at our helpful tips and hints below. And don’t worry, we will reveal today’s answers at the end for you.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you will see a grid containing 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections that link them. These connections could be based on themes like titles of video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, names of chain restaurants, and more.
There may be words that could fit multiple themes, but only one answer is completely correct. You have the option to shuffle and rearrange the words in the grid to help visualize potential connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest to figure out, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the four words will be removed from the grid, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Guess incorrectly, and it will count as a mistake. You only have four mistakes available before the game ends.
