Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The goal is to categorize 16 words into four groups by finding their connections. The puzzle resets daily at midnight and offers varying levels of difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your progress and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips below. We’ll also reveal the answers at the end if needed.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words. Your task is to organize them into four sets by identifying the connections between them. These connections can be related to various themes like video game titles, book sequels, or restaurant names.
There may be words that fit multiple themes, but only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to better visualize the connections. Each group is color-coded from easiest (yellow) to hardest (purple).
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the theme revealed. Four mistakes are allowed before the game ends.
