Connections is the newest puzzle game offered by the New York Times. The objective of the game is to categorize a set of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships with each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Just like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete with friends.
Some puzzles may be more challenging than others. If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our helpful tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, the answers for today will be provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid with 16 words, and your goal is to arrange these words into four sets of four by recognizing the connections between them. These connections could be related to themes like video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, chain restaurant names, etc.
There may be words that fit multiple themes, but only one answer is entirely correct. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to better visualize the potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to identify, followed by green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, revealing the connecting theme. Incorrect guesses are counted as mistakes, with only four available before the game ends.
