Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets nightly at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends, similar to Wordle.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide today’s answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll be presented with a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be based on video game titles, book series, colors, restaurant names, etc.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle and rearrange the grid to better visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest to solve, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and hit Submit. Correct guesses will reveal the theme connecting the words, while incorrect guesses count as mistakes. Players have only four mistakes before the game ends.
